Spring
Was looking through a bunch of our pictures from this spring and realizing all the great memories we’ve had thus far in 2009.  Visitors, a wedding, telling our families about baby Mansfield, and weekends in the city.  Here are some great images from the Spring.

Our Big Day
Our Memorial Day weekend with Eller is over, and quite frankly it couldn’t have been any better.  The weather cooperated brilliantly, with nary a raindrop falling all weekend.  We were able to take full advantage of the sunshine, especially on our busy Saturday.  In case you didn’t follow Eller’s more than dozen tweets of the activities, we captured some scenes on our respective...

Eller is here...
The one, the only, Michael Eller is visiting us for the Memorial Day weekend and we couldn’t be more excited (he arrived this morning on a red eye flight - the same flight as my buddy Spike Lee)  Many of you know the story - Eller was my best bud in 3rd grade when Tracy walked into our class.  Over the next 13 years (except his one year experiment as a freshman at Clemson), the three of us...

Take-Away Shows
Since we started the week with music discovery, thought I’d pass along a cool site.  Take-Away Shows are video podcasts featuring bands or artists playing their music live for small audiences.  To quote the site: “Every week, we invite an artist or a band to play in the streets, in a bar, a park, or even in a flat or in an elevator, and we film the whole session. Of course, what...

Real Time Music Discovery from Friends
I like listening to music.  With the proliferation of options for streaming music and online radio, I find that I listen to a lot of different music each week while sitting at my desk. While I enjoy music, I’m hardly a “new music” aficionado - any skills I can claim are likely in the ability to quote old Beatles lyrics.  I’ll always love the classics, yet in the last year...

NYC on two wheels
We moved to NYC late last summer, but even in our short glimpse of the warm weather months, we could tell that the city is ripe for fun when the sun is out.  Now that the warm weather is here, we’re excited about taking advantage of the opportunities.  The good news is that there seems to be a proliferation of “free” events and “summer deals” - you just have to know...

Doctor appointment #2
So far so good.  All signs thus far show a healthy baby.  Was absolutely breathtaking today to see legs, arms, brain, head of our 5.5cm (and growing) little kid.

DurhamCares - Do You?
We may live in New York now, but Tracy and I both still have a heart for Durham (not to mention a home there!)  The Bull City also houses the Bank’s headquarters, a ton of our closest friends, and countless memories. It’s no secret that Durham has had its issues over the years - from the decline of the tobacco industry to infamous crime rates, Durham has all too often been the object...

Yep, she's pregnant
In case you’re wondering, that’s cookie dough. And for the record, this occurred a few minutes ago while we watched The Biggest Loser finale. :)

It's official, we're pregnant!
Just over nine months ago, we packed our Budget truck and moved to New York City.  We’ve accomplished a lot in the ensuing months - seen a lot of sights, hosted a lot of visitors - it’s been one heck of an adventure. When I think back, it’s hard to believe it’s only been nine months.  Then again, it seems like it’s been forever.  I guess a lot can change in nine...

My Travel Day
I guess it all started a few months ago when Tracy booked her plane ticket for Heath’s wedding weekend.  Since Tracy was in the wedding, she knew she would be coming in a couple days early.  And since we were paying for a plane ticket, we thought she should stay a few days after to see family and friends. My schedule was a little more up in the air.  However, when plane ticket prices started...
