Cat Whitehill: Making an impact on and off the field

Our great friend Cat Whitehill has dealt with her fair share of pain in the last year, as she suffered an ACL tear just months before the Beijing Olympics.  We’re so proud that Cat is back on the field - and not just that, she’s making a huge impact.  Last night, Cat scored a goal in the dying seconds of injury time to give her Washington Freedom team a 4-4 tie with New Jersey’s Sky Blue FC.

What’s best about Cat is that she’s always used her soccer skills as a platform for reaching and helping others.  Below is a great video clip highlighting Cat - hat tip to Michael Fulton for passing on the link through Twitter.
