Central Park Devastation
On my 7 mile run yesterday after work, I did a big loop around Central Park. During the course of my run, I was in shock as I saw the results of a massive thunderstorm which hit Manhattan Tuesday night.
Throughout the Park, especially in the northern regions, there were hundreds of trees which had been toppled by the apparently 70+mph winds. And it wasn’t just branches either - there were numerous trees like the one below, which were literally uprooted.
