Go Tar Heels!

Of all the firsts we’ve already experienced with Miller thus far - first subway ride, road trip, visits with family and friends - there was a new “first” this week which had us brimming with excitement.

On Wednesday night we headed east to Chapel Hill for a first visit to the campus of our alma mater and a chance to take in a Tar Heel basketball game in person.

Not only did we get to see the game, it was also an opportunity to meet up with some of Tracy’s college roommates.  The game was against Albany and could easily be described as a snoozer - which is appropriate since that’s exactly what Miller did during the entire game!

There’s worse things than having a sleeping baby in your arms at the Dean Dome, and as you can see, we took advantage of his extreme comfort with the surroundings to take a few pictures.

Miller did wake up in time to figure out he was hungry as we were leaving the stadium.  After taking care of business to relieve his hunger, we drove through campus and pointed out famous landmarks and familiar sights.  It’ll be many years before he’s able to understand all this, of course, but was still so fun to show the little man a place which is so special to us both.
