Back to Work
Last week felt a bit unusual since we spent the first part traveling back from our NC trip and the latter part getting things settled in the apartment. After a Saturday of errands and a Sunday that was jam packed with two parties, today we were back to the regular schedule of what will be our daily lives.
For me, the schedule is pretty much the same - morning subway ride and walk to work, where I jump into the exciting world of Excel spreadsheets, loan documents, and financial covenants. All joking aside, I love my job. But I have to admit a twinge of jealousy every day when I have to leave the apartment.

But I leave in good conscious, because I know that Miller and Tracy are embarking on new adventures together every single day. We’re only a few weeks into this parenthood thing, and already it has been phenomenal to see Tracy take on her new “job” with conviction and true joy. Whether it’s reading a book, running errands, engaging in “tummy time”, or simply cuddling after a meal, it’s easy to see why Tracy said the other day that “she finally found her dream job.”

There’s no offense meant to her prior places of work or to other Moms out there who work a 9-5. But it’s safe to say that I couldn’t be more proud of everything Tracy is accomplishing at home with the little man - it’s just one more reason why I wear a big smile on my face the whole subway ride home each night.
