New Routines
Now that our little man has 6 weeks under his belt, he’s starting to transition from feeling like a “newborn” into a real infant or baby or whatever you want to call him. The difference is so vast from the day we brought him home from the hospital - it’s hard to believe it’s only been a month and a half!
With the physical growth we’re seeing, Miller is also growing into his own patterns, mannerisms, and rhythms with each day. We’re constantly learning new things about him. He’s not really a snuggler but instead likes movement of all kinds. Don’t count on a morning nap for him. But when he does conk out at night, he can sleep well (7 hours last night!) And Miller has become quite accustomed to some events which seem to take place almost everyday. Like walks in Central Park (he usually snoozes about 10 minutes in).

But there’s no question that our new favorite routine is bathtime. Not only do we get this kid smelling like roses - he also really loves the water and is pretty chill and relaxed the whole time in his baby tub. That is, until mean Dad lifts him up into the cold air (for all of 2 seconds) to transfer him to the warm of a hooded towel. It is precisely then, when he little body hits the towel, that our hearts generally melt.

I guess it’s not that hard to see why.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot. The little guy is smiling now. He has no idea why most of the time, but it’s a smile still the same.
