I killed a snake…

You know that you’ve hit a new high (or low, depending on your point of view) in your blogging career when you have this exchange with your wife while pulling a few weeds in your yard:

Tracy (jumping back in fright): Oh my WORD, there’s a snake over there!

Zack (holding back urge to pee pants, harnessing all of his manhood): Where?! I’ll kill it

Tracy: No, you don’t need to do that. It’s tiny.

Zack: I’m going to get the shovel.

Tracy: Seriously, it’s tiny.  Just get rid of it, but no need to kill it.

Zack (sensing this is chance to conquer a big bad snake): NO, I’m killing it!

(Zack positions shovel over head of glorified worm)

Tracy: You just want to put this on your BLOG!

Suffice it to say that the snake was too small to feel good about taking a photo…but big enough for blog post!
