Tacky Christmas with Friends
It seems that nothing brings people together like food. And when you combine food with a good old fashioned tacky Christmas party, it doesn’t get any better.
Our good friends John and Summer were kind enough to ask us to join their supper club shortly after we moved to the city. The group meets about once a month at one of the couples’ apartments and shares in food, fellowship, and an occasional board game or two.
The December dinner was held on Friday night in the beautiful apartment of Clark and Adair Webb. With Christmas around the corner, everyone was encouraged to wear a favorite tacky accessory from Yuletides of past. Since Tracy and I have had such great practice at these types of parties in the past (thanks to the Chetwoods), we decided to go all out - with Tracy wearing our Christmas tree skirt and yours truly donning a Santa apron and tie. Not to be outdone was our friend Hannah, who sported a red sequined blouse with Brian Urlacher-sized shoulder pads.

As advertised, the evening was a ton of fun, featuring a delicious roast, fantastic views of the city, and more laughs than we can possibly recount (Sum Sum!) Though we’ve only been a part of the Supper Club for a few months, we’re so thankful for the group, as they have quickly become some of our best friends in the city.
