This is too heartwarming not to share.

It’s a video of Patrick Thibodeau of Greely High School. Patrick has Down Syndrome.  But it doesn’t stop him from practicing with the basketball team.  And on Senior Night, Patrick got to play in a game.

Not only did Patrick play, but he put up a few shots along the way.  He didn’t make all of them, but he did make two.  The first occurs about halfway through and during the ensuing timeout, Patrick got a standing ovation from the entire gym.  It’s an ovation he deserved.

I encourage you to watch to the very end.  It’s then that you’ll see Patrick putting up one last shot near the buzzer.  It’s a shot that followed three successive misses.  But somehow this shot finds all net.

I dare you to watch this and not get tingles or perhaps a tear.  It’s that cool.
