The Huits are coming to town

Over the last 7+ months we’ve had the good fortune of hosting no less than 16 different overnight guests (and more than a few of them more than once!)  We know this because we make all of our overnight guests sign a guest book - we don’t mandate that they write something funny, sappy or especially memorable, but we do want to have a tangible memory of the great times we’ve shared in the city and the book seems as good a way as any.

This week, as the picture below foreshadows, we will be welcoming the Huitsings to the Big Apple.  For those in the blogaudience not familiar with this last name, the Huitsings are comprised of Tracy’s sister Jennifer, her husband Jason, and their two adorable children, Jacob and Jensen.

It promises to be a fun few days of exploring and hanging out.  And I imagine we might have some, shall we say, “interesting” exploits as we fit six of us (including two toddlers!) into the “cozy” apartment at night.

The crew arrives tomorrow night around 7:30 andwe can’t wait.  Something tells me “cozy” won’t be half bad once we get to see their smiling faces.

PS - The Huitsings are not some die hard Bears family that is never seen without Chicago gear on - while they do support the Bears and Sox, the matching outfits seen above were for Jacob’s 4th birthday party, which had an incredibly awesome Football theme.  Now if they show up at LaGuardia tomorrow wearing this…
