It’s hard to believe, but the is almost here and I can hardly wait.

This day I speak of is the annual Overlook Cup, when 11 former roommates from UNC days get together for a long weekend of food, fellowship and seemingly endless remembrances of days since past.

Perhaps some will remember the good times shared on this blog from OC2K8, which was held in San Francisco and hosted by then Bay-area resident Neill Wessell.  The duty of hosting the Cup this year is in the capable hands of Andy Metzler, who has assured us that his “Man Palace” of a house, fresh from a variety of home improvement projects over the last few weeks, is ready for the onslaught of testosterone that will undoubtedly occur over the next few days.  Based on the plans Metz has shared thus far - including golf, copious amounts of NCAA hoops, and a few nice dinners along the way - OC2K9 should definitely live up to the hype.

Long form blogging will probably be no hiatus while in KC, but there will likely be some “live blogging” of pictures and Twitter updates galore.  And they Flip Mino will be rolling (and I’m sure Eller will have his too), so the scenes suitable for public consumption will likely find their way to a blog near you next week.
